A Message From Our CEO: Why We’re Different

Everyone says they are different. Yes, every company has unique selling points. Yes, every company does things differently and is special in its own way. But, when it comes to processes and business, these are usually similar to one another. Full disclosure: it wasn’t until this year that I realized our marketing agency can be different. And we are going to be. I truly believe that now and we are going to prove it.

The idea for the “I hate marketing companies!” campaign came to fruition when in a Zoom sales meeting this past year. Our sales team got a lead, so we set up a meeting with the CEO of this manufacturing company. With skepticism in his eyes, the first thing he said was, “Just so you know. I hate marketing companies”. Without even thinking, I replied, “So do I”. We both laughed a bit, and he explained a little to me on how he felt. Then I proceeded to not only tell him about my amazing team and the work they can do, but our core values, our Greenprint structure,  and why he would not hate us.

We now have him as a client. All it took was him looking at our company from a new perspective. We are not your typical marketing agency. Yes, we do amazing marketing work. Our graphic design, digital advertising, content creation, web design, etc., are all great. But at the end of the day, our company is so much more than that.

We Live by Our Core Values.

Our core values are what our team lives by. If you meet an MC team member, they are guaranteed to embody each one of our core values. Check them out here. You may notice not one of them even mention marketing, or our customers (sorry). I believe that a great leader is one that makes everyone around them better. So that is what I set out to do with Michigan Creative. I didn’t want to create the best marketing company. I wanted to create the best company with the best people. However, this meant finding kind-hearted and hardworking creative people that all believed in the mission as much as I did. And, I am proud to say I have done that. Our team is made up of some of the best people I’ve ever known. Not only do they work hard and go above and beyond for their clients, but they do it in a way that leaves their clients feeling happy and fulfilled. That’s marketing done differently.

MC Greenprint.

Out of all the things we tried and came up with, the Greenprint process is my favorite. Why? Because most of all, it’s proven to work. We can give you a long and drawn out proposal that is at best a guess at what you need, or we can provide you with a detailed Greenprint that allows us to really get to know you, your business, and your customers. From here, then our team can strategize, plan, create, and execute marketing efforts properly. When implemented correctly, your marketing strategy should be selling for you. We can do that. We have the man and woman (we have a lot of female leaders on our team) power to supply you with the correct marketing tools and tactics at the right time to grow your brand.

Full-Service With ROI.

We also hate this term, but we are a full-service marketing agency. There we said it. We have specialists and the experience on our team to do it all. We do all of our work in-house here at Michigan Creative. We’ve grown our team, processes, structure, and developed practices that have allowed us to solidify our team and our services. We know teamwork makes the dream work, which is why we work together as a collective, but also each has a specialization. Structuring our departments this way has not only allowed for our agency to become full-service but to also be laser-focused on ROI. If your marketing strategy is not bringing revenue into your business, what’s the point? When implemented correctly, every marketing effort you put into place should be driving revenue to your business. If it’s not, you’re doing it wrong. But don’t worry, we’re here to help.
