It provides a purpose and is informational to your readers. HubSpot refers to inbound marketing as an experience tailored to your audience. It aims to earn attention organically because your content is being sought out in some way. Rather than popping up on your screen unsolicited, inbound marketing allows for you to find prospective customers through a connection and pain points. This is why blogging, SEO, social media, and email marketing are so important when creating your strategy.
Why do it?
Your content serves to meet a need for your potential customers. Your ultimate goal is to gain more attention to your website, so you have to tailor that content to your ideal customers. You have to share that content on channels where your prospects are looking for information. Keep in mind this content will serve those who are seeking it out, so no need for persuasive language like in an advertisement. You just have to add value with it. When you provide your readers with valuable information, you’re building trust. This trust will soon turn into a customer. It’s not enough to just attract people, you have to engage them, and this means new content. Keep adding that value. Once they feel supported and empowered, you reap the benefits of it.
The beautiful thing about the internet is once content is posted, it rarely goes away! It’s always there, therefore, as long as it’s good content, it’s going to continue to add value. Although, it is just as important to keep new content circulating back to your website. The more quality content you have, the more brand awareness you receive from it. The benefits of inbound marketing are almost endless, and it works!
