The Importance of Blogging
Hey guys, I am back at it again. I have a feeling you will be seeing me and my work a lot more. Thanks to everyone that tuned in to my last blog about internet fraud. I hope that you learned something new from it, or even became more interested in the topic to educate yourself.
Before I get started on my topic of this week, I am of course going to give you a quick update on how my internship is going. Well, as always it is going great! I find myself really enjoying this place and I wish that everyone could have as cool of an internship as this.
So this week, I really wanted to talk about how important blogging is. When I first found out that I had to write a blog, I definitely didn’t feel the best about it. I was like what? Why? But after my first couple of blogs, I kind of started discovering on my own how blogging actually is a great thing, especially for our business. Some of you are probably thinking, how is blogging at all great for business? I don’t get it…Don’t worry, I didn’t get it at first either. But after doing a little of my own homework and from personal experience, I think I have a good understanding on how blogging is a “must have” for businesses.
Blogging first started off as a way for people to share their personal thoughts, feelings, experiences, and opinions. Today, pretty much all businesses use blogging to increase their digital presence. The businesses that have websites that don’t have blogging or update their blogs regularly are missing out on opportunities to increase their company’s visibility, which increases their digital reach, which eventually expands your client base.
I would like to say that today’s society is very internet-based. Your business has to do a lot of different things to be the top of the list on the internet. When potential clients search on the internet for professional industries, we want our business to be at the top of the list, right? How are we supposed to do that, you might ask? Well, you have to increase your search engine optimization (SEO). SEO is an essential part of business. An awesome way to doing this is through…..drum roll please……BLOGGING! Bet you couldn’t guess that one. But it can’t be just be a jumble of words posted up on your blog. It has to have good content that intrigues people to make them want to read it. It has to be most importantly, relevant; relevant to your company and relevant to the people reading your blog. By adding blogs with great content to your business you will gain additional traffic. By regularly updating and adding new and fresh content to your blogs on your website, you also increase the likelihood of coming up in a search. Constantly updating your blog shows sites like Google that you are a real company and they will push your site higher on the results list because of it.
My advice to you? If company doesn’t blog, start now! It can’t hurt you, only help you. How can you say no to that? Well thanks to all of you who are taking the precious time out of your day to read my nonsense! Until next time….
