Rebranding

What Can Rebranding Do For Your Business?

In Blogging, Branding by Brian Town

Rebranding your business is a big step, and one that should not be taken lightly! It’s a lot of work and can take a lot of time… But it’s worth it.

Let’s start off with a little bit of basic information on rebranding.
If you decide that your business needs a little something, something new and exciting, you’re probably (definitely) thinking of a rebrand. This doesn’t mean that you have to change what your business does or the core values of your company; you might just need a new logo, slogan, even a new name, etc.

No matter what the industry, things are constantly changing and you can’t afford to not keep up. You may have had great business and a huge client list for 50 years but, when that new company that does exactly what you do moved in down the block, you might not be doing so hot anymore. Maybe not even that, but maybe you just aren’t getting any new business anymore.

Rebranding can change that.

If you want to make your older company stand out against the new one, an updated message can do just that.  Your business might be “older” and less exciting, but that doesn’t mean you can’t make it new and exciting again! Just think of all the big names out there that continue to make small, but strong, branding changes over the years; Google, for example. Google keeps up! Give your customers something new to think about, and give new customers something exciting to learn more about.

Does that new company do anything that your company does not? Are they getting the new local business because of it?
Maybe you need to adapt to meet those needs of your customers as well! A strong rebrand will help you to keep up with that ever-changing market. You probably offer something that they don’t, right? Play to that strength to appeal to the people with that need and keep your customers with your brand.

So you’re keeping business, keeping customers, keeping up with the market, all that good stuff. Great! But, did you know that your rebrand will probably attract a new group of clients as well?

If your business, logo, message, etc. has been the same since you started, you’ve probably had just about the same group of clients, too. Right?
With your rebrand, you are going to make an impact in the market and that will draw attention. Some of the people that seemed to have appeared out of nowhere needing the services of that new company will also see your new image. Yes, now they have a decision to make but, you’re in the running! You won’t lose business for lack of being “visible” in the market.

Rebranding is a tough topic to cover in just one blog post; it’s not simple and it takes a lot of effort to pull of a successful rebrand. But – good news – we can help!
