My Goals

In Michigan Creative by Melissa Meschke

Now that we are approaching the end of summer, I am beginning to reflect on my future career a bit. As a junior at Michigan State University, now is the time to really figure out the details of the kind of career I will have.

Michigan Creative Media has exposed me to many different forms of marketing such as video production, web design, photography, and everything in-between to make these types of mediums successful such as proper communication, social media, and time management skills.

Although I am a Communication/PR major I feel that I can benefit to learn from all of our fabulous team members and their specialty work. Michigan’s job market demands experienced and well knowledgeable workers that unfortunately, cannot just be good at just ONE thing, but must be good at MANY different things.

Being a part of a marketing company that does a little bit of everything has gave me the push to want to learn more and be more than just social media. Going into my 3rd year of school, my goal will be to learn how to use WordPress/create websites, design infographics/advertisements for social media, and photograph my own content to share as opposed to just searching for it online.

I am excited to push myself as an employee and student. If you just can’t bare to wait for my next blog post on my progress, you can keep up to date with Michigan Creative on our page at to check out how I am doing yourself!

Cheers to Education!
